In late 2008 Cross Bay Gallery took a major survey show of contemporary indigenous art to Gong-Pyeong Gallery in Seoul, Korea. It was warmly received and a relationship of cultural exchange was born.
This is the second venture of this union. Twenty –two Korean and ten local artists show work in Sydney’s Global Gallery.
We are excited to have this exhibition in Sydney that will introduce a range of notable Australian and Korean artists.
We believe our continuing artistic exchanges will lift the quality and diversity of both Australian and Korean art, offering our artists a chance to be further stimulated, inspired and grow.
We also hope for this exhibition to function as a facilitator for more active creative exchanges between Korean and Australian artists, providing them with more opportunities for international exposure and participation.
